Low‐Loss Graded Dielectrics via Active Mixing of Nanocomposite Inks during 3D Printing

چکیده

Additive manufacturing has emerged as a promising approach for fabricating graded refractive index structures that control the electromagnetic response of radio frequency (RF) devices. However, current 3D printing methods cannot produce continuous gradients from multiple materials. Here, low-loss dielectrics via active mixing nanocomposite inks composed block copolymers and oxide nanoparticles are designed printed. By simultaneously tailoring their rheological, printing, local filler particle-to-polymer ratio using an printhead, conductive microstrip-graded substrate matching network with gradually changing dielectric response, is created. In these printed devices, impedance RF signal controlled by rather than varying microstrip geometry, enabling fabrication smaller This enables rapid design high-performance devices locally tunable properties.

Emulsion Inks for 3D Printing of High Porosity Materials.

Photocurable emulsion inks for use with solid freeform fabrication (SFF) to generate constructs with hierarchical porosity are presented. A high internal phase emulsion (HIPE) templating technique was utilized to prepare water-in-oil emulsions from a hydrophobic photopolymer, surfactant, and water. These HIPEs displayed strong shear thinning behavior that permitted layer-by-layer deposition int...
